To check on your medical doctor, and to make sure that your doctor is licensed, go to Links to State Medical Board. You'll see a list of Medical Boards in states nationwide. Go to a website of your state's Medical Board, and check if a doctor has been licensed to practice medicine, or his or her medical license has been revoked, or if a
physician has been disciplined. For example, if you would like to
check a medical doctor in California, from the State Medical Board
link page above,
- Click on Medical Board of California
- Click on the big button 'Check your doctor online on the right
of that web page
- At a physician lookup page, at the bottom click on
'Continued' button.
- You will see a form -- enter name or license number of
a physician, and click on 'Find' button.
The above checking is free. If you would like a more detail
about a doctor's disciplinary histories, go to Federation
of State Medical Boards of the United States.
You need to pay a small fee.
